My name is Millicent Barrett-Browning motivated by my love and sincere passion for helping and giving back to others. through my passion, I have embraced an interest and a lifelong love for the elderly volunteering as a resident advocate for many years administering love and cheer to them I have been working with nursing homes alongside social services through the state ombudsman Agency assisting them with their needs through reporting of incidents as they occur making sure their care plans are up to date and that their everyday activities are carried out as assigned.

I am also an advocate for children who are abused and assaulted In any way, I like giving back through service and a true believer that when you touch the life of others yours will be touched also here's a quick story. At age (8) years old I had an encounter during church services while the announcement was read and It was mention that a particular member of the church was Ill and Is now a shut-in, unknown to me at my age what a shut meant I rushed to my parents In church wanting to know more, as they explain to me I started to cry with a feeling of sorrow I took off running straight to her home which was not too far away.

I called her by her name and she responded by saying come in entering her home and looking at her alive dried up my tears, I spent some time with her then headed back home, as soon as I got my dinner I sneaked away back to her home to give her my dinner, she lived alone and depended on others to assist, I did this for a few days then It was noticed by my parents that I was not present at the table during dinner when I returned home  I had to tell the truth to my parents a bit fearful I spoke they were so shocked immediately an extra plate was added to the table and I was allowed to take dinner to her every day thereafter,  and I pride myself in making sure she was fed and safe until she passed on I even sang at her funeral her favorite song.
